I love to go to the casino and loose myself in another world for awhile. It's a time when I can be away from the apartment complex that we manage and all the people that think I should be here 24 hours for their convenience. I get phone calls 7 days a week and as late as 10:00pm. I don't dare shut my phone off in case there's an emergency.
At the casino, you can sit there and keep your eyes on the machine and block out everything. Or you can talk to the one next to you and congratulate them when they get a good roll. What is even better is when I go with my daughter.
There are times when my daughter and great-granddaughter take off for the day by ourselves. Alexis loves to go into Kids Quest and meet new kids and play on all the equipment. She has a great time and it gives my daughter some time to be herself and loose herself also. Tammi and I sit next to each other and laugh and sometimes gasp when a roll on the slots come close. What is even better is watching the look on her face when she wins a jackpot and she has no idea what's going on. She takes out her phone and takes a pix and sends it to her husband. We usually go there when they are giving something away and we are like kids at Christmas. We have gotten purses, luggage, camera's,plants and many other things. We use it as an excuse to get away and just have a day of fun.
I have had many jackpots come my way and come tax time I worry as to what is going to happen. I luck out and breath a little better when it's figured out. Obviously a person doesn't win all the time, but I have been able to get some very nice things with my winnings. I have gotten all new furniture, my SUV and a trip to Kansas for NASCAR. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
